About Us

Not My Ghost, Not My Problem is a paranormal-comedy podcast hosted by two best friends who are equal parts curious and skeptical—and fully aware that we’re learning as we go. Each week, we dig into hauntings, folklore, creepy history, and the weird moments that make you say, “Okay… explain that.” We love a good rabbit hole, we love a good laugh, and we’re not here to pretend every spooky story is automatically true. Sometimes we’re convinced. Sometimes we’re side-eying the evidence. Either way, we’re bringing you along for the ride.

The show started because distance wasn’t going to be the thing that quietly killed a friendship. In the summer of 2023, Jen moved to St. Augustine, Florida, and didn’t want life to turn “best friends” into “we’ll catch up soon.” Jen had wanted to start a podcast for years—and since the paranormal had always been our thing (we even spent a brief era on a paranormal investigating team together), we hit record and made it official. What began as “two best friends who love the paranormal and have no idea what they’re doing” turned into a weekly ritual with you ghosties: spooky stories, hot takes, and chaotic tangents.

Meet Jen

Jen is the co-host who will follow a paranormal thread until it turns into a full-on corkboard moment. She’s the one asking, “Okay, but what actually happened here?”—and then immediately finding three more related stories, a historical rabbit hole, and a questionable theory that she’s somehow willing to entertain for at least five minutes.

By day, she works in instructional design, which means she’s wired to take messy information and make it make sense. That same brain shows up on the podcast: structured enough to keep us on track… with just enough chaos to accidentally derail the episode into a philosophical spiral.

In 2023, Jen moved to St. Augustine, Florida—aka a city that basically dares you to talk about ghosts for a living. The move was exciting, but it also came with the real fear of distance slowly turning best-friend energy into occasional check-ins. So she did what she always does: she built a solution. The podcast became the standing “appointment” that keeps the friendship close, the laughs constant, and the paranormal obsession fully fed.

Meet Kelly

Kelly is the co-host who keeps the show grounded with sharp humor and unapologetic skepticism. She’s not here to be impressed by creaky floors and “my cat stared at the corner.” She’s here to ask the questions everyone should be asking—then roast the situation while she’s doing it. She’s the reality check with the best punchlines, and she’s the reason the show doesn’t drift into “everything is haunted” territory.

Outside the podcast, Kelly’s real life is busy as hell—she’s a mom of 5, grandma of 2, and a government contractor. Yet, she still shows up every week ready to talk about weird paranormal nonsense like it’s her job.

She’s also the reason Jen and Kelly met in the first place: back in 2010, she signed her puppy, Boogie, up for Jen’s dog training class. What started as a professional trainer/client relationship turned into multiple classes, a Facebook friendship, and then the moment that sealed it: Jen posted that she was bored with nothing to do, Kelly invited her out for lunch and a lemon drop martini, and the rest is history.
